case 18: GirlAge 2Speech

Initial Complaint:

She is severely speech delayed.... still only has 5 words at almost 3 years old. In regular speech therapy with no progress and unable to afford further treatment   Speech delay. She is a very easygoing 2 year old. Completely different then her brother was. She adapts to any situation, always has been the happy, easy, quiet child. No issues other then her speech. She can be shy and quiet when meeting new people, which has caused issues with speech therapy as half the session has been her warming up the therapist.  She is definitely our "easy kid".

Study Outcome:

She is speaking more now than she was 12 weeks ago.  She was attending bi-weekly private speech therapy sessions as well as speech therapy for most of this time as well.
